McKinsey India partner named CEO of DEN Networks
Indian television services company has appointed Pradeep Parameswaran as its new CEO to replace S.N. Sharma, who reecently left the company. Parameswaran joins from consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where he worked for 14 years, first as consultant and later as partner.
DEN Networks is a 2007-established Indian cable TV distribution company. The company reaches an estimated 13 million households in over 200 cities across 13 key states in India, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Mumbai. The firm, which is headquartered in New Delhi, has an additional 12 offices spread across India and a headcount of approximately 1,095 employees.
In a press release, the company has announced the appointment of Pradeep Parameswaran as its new CEO. Parameswaran replaces S.N. Sharma, who left in September 2014 after seven years at the firm.
Parameswaran joins Den Networks from McKinsey & Company where he acted as Partner for seven years. In this capacity he led the Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT) practice in India and Asian Operations and Technology function. Prior to becoming a partner, he fulfilled the role of consultant at the firm for seven years. Prior to joining the consulting firm in 2001, Parameswaran worked as Summer Associate at A.T. Kearney and as Manager at Hindustan Unilever. Parameswaran has an MBA in Operations from Vanderbilt University, a Master’s degree in Marketing from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
