Sannam S4 named Consultancy Firm of the Year at UK-India week
Washington-based international trade, development and business consultancy Sannam S4 has been named Consultancy Firm of the Year for UK and India trade relations, ousting other finalists Deloitte, Grant Thornton, Kingston Smith and PwC.
Sannam S4 was established in 2008 with the specific objective of helping firms with expanding into new markets across the globe. To this end, the firm operates based on three stages of this process – explore, enter, expand – and supports clients with each of these stages.
More specifically, the firm’s suite of services includes research on new markets and an evaluation of the opportunities prevalent therein, following which the firm helps clients find leadership within these markets and establish sales channels. Thereafter, the firm also offers support with accounting and tax compliance in the new regulatory environments.
Since its establishment, the firm has helped a number of UK-based firms with entering the rapidly expanding Indian market, and vice-versa. As a result, the firm has made a tangible contribution to the development of business relations between the UK and India, an effort for which it has now been recognised.
The firm was presented the award at a ceremony that marked the culmination of an entire UK-India week, which was organised to celebrate the growing relations between the two countries and recognise those who have contributed to the same. The event was held in London, and was attended by a number of high-profile individuals, including India’s Ministed for External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
Other prominent individuals at the event were Sir Mark Tully, a renowned BBC commentator on India, and Deputy Mayor of London Rajesh Agarwal. Alongside recognition for Sannam S4, the event listed a number of individuals who have played a crucial role in building relations, including Partner at Deloitte UK Jo Ahmed.
Commenting on the award, Founder and Group CEO at Sannam S4 Adrian Mutton said, “I am so thrilled that Sannam S4’s contribution to the U.K.-India relationship has been recognised for a second year in a row. Every day my colleagues in the U.K. and India are making a significant contribution to the bilateral relationship in the fields of education, social welfare and trade and investment. It is therefore hugely satisfying for them to receive this award."
Ed Dixon, a leader at the consultancy, added, “We are extremely honoured that Sannam S4 has been recognised for its role in supporting organisations explore, enter and expand in India. Very special thanks to our amazing clients, partners and team; their support has been (and will continue to be) pivotal. We continue to invest to ensure that Sannam S4 develops its role as both catalyst and support partner to UK organisations working in India."
