Senior executive Abhijit Gajendragadkar joins UC Strategy
Strategy consultancy UC Strategy has appointed Abhijit Gajendragadkar as a Senior Director and a member of its leadership team. Gajendragadkar becomes the firm’s fifth Senior Director.
Gajendragadkar has a wealth of experience in the consulting domain. He is a Chartered Accountant with a degree in Finance and General Management, and has been working in an advisory capacity for more than three decades now. His portfolio includes a number of major businesses.
He began as a Consultant at NM Raiji, where he worked for three years before embarking on the longest assignment of his professional career at Andersen Consulting. He remained at Andersen Consulting for nearly 15 years, remaining at the firm through the split that gave rise to Accenture in 2001. His work at Accenture focused on business development for the automotive, internet and natural gas sectors
At the end of his spell at Accenture in 2004, Gajendragadkar was a Senior Executive at the firm, a role that he then vacated to join Tata Motors. He spent more than 12 years at Tata Motors, starting as a Chief Internal Auditor before being appointed Senior Vice President for Business Planning and Controlling.
He has spent the last three years at Voltas as Chief Financial Officer. He now joines UC Strategy at a time of growth and evolution for the firm. The Mumbai-headquartered firm recently completed 25 years of operations in India, providing consultancy services to a substantial pol of clients.
UC Strategy’s service offerings include growth strategies, business plans and strategy execution for clients operating in broad range of sectors. These range from the life sciences, to medical technology, to agribusiness & food, industrials and financial services. The firm also offers support to international firms looking to develop an India entry strategy.
The consulting firm has approximately 60 professionals, led by a management team of six executives: founder Jay Desai, Senior Directors Shankar Rajesh, Samir Sathe, Subramaniam Venkatesh and Abhijit Gajendragadkar, and Associate Director Kaustubh Nagarkar.
Last year, UC Strategy formed a strategic alliance with Scandinavian consultancy Qvartz to act as a partner firm for services delivery in India.
