Accenture has helped Indian consumer health goods giant Zydus Wellness with setting up an enterprise resource platform (ERP) to help drive its digital transformation and consolidate its recent acquisition of Heinz India.

Zydus finalised its acquisition of consumer goods company Heinz India for more than Rs. 4,000 crores early last year, and has since been looking to merge the two operations harmoniously. “We needed to move quickly to integrate processes and information from both companies into one future-ready platform before our peak sales season,” said Zydus CEO Tarun Arora.

Accenture was brought on board to support this process, tasked with implementing the SAP S/4HANA intelligent ERP system to facilitate Zydus’ digital transformation. Zydus’ entire operation was migrated to the new ERP via Accenture’s myConcerto solution, which leverages insights to deliver faster and better SAP implementations.

The entire process took four months, and the result is that Zydus has been able to standardise its operations, improve visibility and enhance operational efficiency. The new end-to-end framework allows Zydus to test and implement innovations across a wide range of business verticals and geographies.Accenture supports Zydus Wellness with SAP implementationZydus owns some of India’s leading consumer goods brands, including Sugar Free, which currently occupies more than 90% of the sugar substitute market share in India.
