Patel Packaging hires Stratefix Consulting for sales growth

Patel Packaging, a Surat-based packaging firm, has hired Stratefix Consulting with the mandate to help the firm develop its sales strategy and capabilities in the Gujarat territory.

Founded in 1987, Patel Packaging is a company that specialises in wooden packaging solutions such as boxes, saddles, crates and pallets for players in mainly the packaged products and heavy engineering sectors. With a team of over 100 professionals serving the domestic as well as export market (Southeast Asia, Europe and Africa), Patel Packaging is one of India’s leading players in its segment.

As part of its strategic growth plan, the packaging company has announced plans to expand its market share in Gujarat – the country’s fifth-largest Indian state by area and the ninth-largest state by population (around 60 million).

The move comes at a time of rapid growth in India’s packaging sector. As per the Packaging Industry Association of India report, the industry is currently the 5th largest sector of India’s economy and among the fastest growing segments, developing at 22-25% per annum. More importantly, going forward, the industry shows high potential for expansion, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly as India positions itself as an attractive manufacturer for the export market. 

To hit the ground running in Gujarat, Patel Packaging will kick-off with developing a sales strategy, and then build a team, create an infrastructure, and realise the key pillars of the plan. Advising the company in this process is Stratefix Consulting a Surat-based management consulting firm led by partners Chirag Patel and Mukul Goyal.
