Deloitte Consulting appoints 14 new partners in India
Deloitte Consulting has appointed 14 new partners in India, as part of a broader intake of new partners across the professional services firm.
The first week of April is traditionally a big week for many of Deloitte’s company members (and the media), when the firm formally unveils its list of promotions across its ranks. The most notable promotion band is that from director to partner, which sees professionals transition from salaried professionals to equity partners – Deloitte is a privately-held partnership.
Across its Audit, Financial Advisory and Consulting divisions, Deloitte promoted 27 directors to partner level, with the majority of those focused on in-demand technology skills. Most of the firm's new partners specialise in new and emerging technologies such as cloud, cyber, digital and analytics.
The consulting arm took the largest cut of new partners: Aditya Sudhindranath, Amit Tandon, Anish Mandal, Anurag Sharma, Arun Moral, Keerthi Kumar, Keerthi Prakash, Nisheeth Varma, Praveen Govindu, Priyanka Nagesh, Rohit Baweja, Saurabh Dwivedi, Shweta Shetty, and Vivek Mathur.
Commenting on the news, Romal Shetty, the Head of Deloitte Consulting in India took to LinkedIn to state: “All our new partners have demonstrated their commitment even as the events of last year pushed us all to reimagine and rediscover a new normal. We wish them every success as they make an impact that matters.”
Globally, Deloitte Consulting is one of the largest management consulting firms in headcount. Meanwhile, Deloitte Consulting has specific brands for strategy consulting (Monitor Deloitte) and digital transformation (Deloitte Digital).
In India, Deloitte aims to double its workforce in the coming years, said global CEO Punit Renjen in a recent interview.
