Professional services firm Deloitte has brought its global strategic alliance with Relativity to India, deepening its offerings in the area of investigations, litigations and regulatory compliance.

Relativity’s flagship solution RelativityOne is used by governments, corporations and law firms for the effective and efficient review of large volumes of data, including for litigation, internal investigations and other requests (for example: Freedom of Information Act). The solution, which builds on a range of technologies such as artificial intelligence and natural language processing, is one fo the leading tools in the e-discovery space.

Deloitte has been a trusted partner of Relativity since 2008, and globally holds the status of Silver Partner for RelativityOne. Expanding on its existing RelativityOne alliance in countries such as the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Germany and Japan, the two companies have now also joined forces in the Indian market.

The agreement enables Deloitte to add Relativity’s software as a service product to its offerings, enhancing how it helps clients quickly detect non-compliant behaviour. The Big Four firm also serves as an implementation partner, and can help clients with the design and roll-out of the solution.

Speaking on the announcement, Jayant Saran, a Partner in Deloitte’s Financial Advisory division said: “Data is one of the most valuable assets of organisations today enabling deep insights into opportunities and risk. However, the immense volume and diverse sources of unstructured data present challenges, particularly when it comes to investigations, litigation, or even making actionable sense of the data retained by companies.”

“Through RelativityOne's scalability and cutting-edge technology, we will help organisations to draw insight-driven strategy by demystifying the complexity and volume issues of data. The e-discovery solution will help in attaining full control over the data securely and uncover key facts to respond to multinational litigation, investigation, arbitration, and regulatory compliance matters.”

The move comes at a time of rapidly growing digital threats (cyberattacks, data breaches, etc) and a surge in financial frauds. “It has therefore become critical for organisations to be on their toes and have advanced software and solutions in place to identify related threats at the earliest,” said Saran.

Other consulting partners of Relativity include Alvarez & Marsal, BRG, FTI Consulting, KPMG and Kroll.
