BearingPoint expands into India with new office in Bangalore
European-origin consulting firm BearingPoint has launched a new delivery center in India, its first locale in the country.
The new hub is the firm’s third in Asia (BearingPoint also has offices in Shanghai and Singapore), and its third delivery center alongside hubs in Romania and the Czech Republic.
“The entry into India is a major milestone for BearingPoint,” said Matthias Loebich, Global Leader Markets and Networks at BearingPoint. Based in Bangalore, the new wing will support the firm’s technology-focused projects delivered across all corners of the globe, with a focus on SAP and digital transformation work.
“The office opening in India supports our global growth strategy of developing and providing intellectual property and digital assets for our clients,” explained Kiumars Hamidian, Managing Partner of BearingPoint – now in his second term in office.
On the ground, BearingPoint will work closely together with Robert Bosch Engineering & Business Solutions on ramping up the delivery center and on joint client engagements. Loebich: “We are excited to intensify our collaboration with Robert Bosch Engineering & Business Solutions. We deliver very successful projects as a team by providing IT and consulting resources together for our clients.”
Dattatri Salagame, President and Managing Director at Robert Bosch Engineering & Business Solutions, added: “The vision of the new center is to create a human focused approach in delivering the best possible digital experience. Our partnership is based on complementary value creation, software competency at scale, and targeted at digital transformation of enterprises.”
To serve its growing client base in Asia, BearingPoint (revenue: €780 million) has an alliance with ABeam Consulting, one of Asia’s larger homegrown consultancies.
