Global advisory firm FTI Consulting has appointed Avigyan Das to lead its Technology division in India.

One of the firm’s five main divisions, the Technology wing solves data-related business challenges, with particular focus on legal and regulatory matters. The practice specialises in helping clients root out fraud, maintain regulatory compliance, reduce legal and IT costs, protect sensitive materials, and harness organisational data for business value.

“Avi is perfectly suited to lead our Technology segment’s growth in India,” said Nick Athanasi, a Senior Managing Director and the Africa, India and Middle East leader of FTI Consulting’s Technology division.

Appointed a Senior Managing Director, Das re-joins FTI Consulting with more than 15 years of experience in digital forensics, risk management, compliance, regulatory investigations and e-discovery. He brings specialised expertise in data analytics and investigating financial crime and corruption.

Throughout his career, Das has held roles at numerous consulting firms, including Deloitte and First Advantage. He has worked in data analytics, e-discovery services and digital forensics practices, and has supported clients facing a wide variety of global fraud, risk and compliance, litigation and regulatory investigations.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Das served as Associate Managing Director with Exiger, where he was a leader in the global data analytics function.

Welcoming Das to the firm, Athanasi said: “Avi has led complex technology programmes and investigations across industries. He also deeply understands the emerging challenges clients are facing across data management, privacy and compliance, which will enable him to broaden our information governance, privacy and security offerings in India.”
