EY-Parthenon partner Naveen Tiwari joins firm's UK business
After spending seven years with EY-Parthenon in India, Naveen Tiwari has relocated to the UK where he has been appointed a partner in the firm’s UK business.
With a decade of experience at Big Four peers PwC and Deloitte under his belt, Naveen Tiwari joined EY-Parthenon late 2014 as the founding partner of its then fresh Transaction Strategy & Execution practice.
Under his leadership, the practice has grown into a 60-member team, specialising in helping buyers and sellers – both corporates and private equity – with pre-deal services such as due diligence and integration planning, and post-deal services such as post-merger integration, value creation and deal-related performance improvement.
Per the 1st of May, Tiwari has crossed to EY-Parthenon’s London office, where he will leverage his experience to help the Transaction Strategy & Execution practice grow its footprint in the private equity sector.
He joins two other partners with a private equity focus that were recently hired – Jason Spencer and Peter Renon, who both joined from Alvarez & Marsal.
Tiwari brings 20 years of experience in advising corporates, private equity firms and lending banks and has worked on over 200 transactions across India, Asia, Europe and the United Kingdom. His client roster includes companies in the consumer goods, life sciences, infrastructure, telecoms, technology and manufacturing sectors.
“I am passionate about helping companies drive value from merger & acquisition transactions for all stakeholders,” said Tiwari. “Transactions tend to be disruptive for employees, customers and vendors. By actively addressing the M&A driven change, I strive to minimise the disruption for the business whilst working towards delivering deal value. This ensures companies create long term value for all their stakeholders, thus help build a better working world.”
Commenting on the appointment, Fredrik Burger, a partner in EY-Parthenon’s Transaction Strategy & Execution team, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Naveen to the team to further continue our growth in supporting private equity clients on operational topics.”
According to research from Bain & Company, the private equity sector plays an increasingly active role in the global economy, with investors currently managing more than $5 trillion in capital. Last year, private equity deal activity exceeded $1 trillion for the first time ever.
