HCL Technologies rebrands as HCLTech and adopts new purpose
HCL Technologies, a global technology services company with over 200,000 employees, has rebranded as HCLTech.
Originally a technology research and development division of HCL, in 1991 HCL Technologies spinned off as an independent business. Since then, HCL Technologies has grown from a specialist in software solutions to an end-to-end player in the technology services landscape, with particular focus on digital, engineering and cloud.
Now operating as HCLTech, the rebranding is part of the company’s strategic plan geared at embarking on its next phase of growth, as the Noida headquartered company (active in 50+ countries) aims to crack the $12 billion revenue barrier in the coming year.
A fresh brand identity and logo, along with a revamped purpose and employee value proposition, underpins its growth ambitions, said Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson at HCLTech. He added that the move also embodies a fresh, distinct global brand identity while retaining connectivity with the company’s parent, HCL Group.
The refresh is accompanied by a new brand positioning and tagline, ‘Supercharging Progress’. Malhotra: “Supercharging Progress is about accelerating the digital transformation for our clients everyday as well as the ethos of the organisation to advance the aspirations of our people, contribute to a sustainable planet and uplift local communities across our global footprint.”
Commenting on the new purpose, C Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director at HCLTech said, “We are proud of our purpose statement – ‘to bring together the best of technology and our people to supercharge progress’. Our purpose accelerates our journey to be the digital partner of choice for global enterprises through differentiated services and products and being an employer of choice for top talent.”
Built on the broad tenets of opportunity, respect, and trusted employment, HCLTech’s new employee value proposition (known internally as ‘Find Your Spark’) aims to help the firm position itself as a top employer of choice. “Our employee value proposition emphasizes our commitment to help both current and prospective employees maximise their career potential and ambitions,” explained Vijayakumar.
HCLTech works mainly for clients in financial services, manufacturing, life sciences and healthcare, technology, business services, telecom, media, retail, consumer goods, and public services.
