Big Four firm KPMG has added a new alliance with OutSystems to its growing list of technology partnerships.

US-headquartered OutSystems is one of the world’s leading providers of platforms and solutions for adopting low-code.

By adding OutSystems into its digital transformation toolkit, KPMG will be able to help its clients speed up their digital transformation and tech-innovation agenda. Known for its easy-to-use and user friendly functionality, low-code allows business teams to drive their own digital efforts, meaning they are not held back by legacy IT or capacity bottlenecks in the IT department.

“In order to thrive today, enterprises are transforming their ongoing business operations, to increase efficiencies and target new revenue streams,” said Vishnu Pillai, a leader at KPMG. “The pulse of the industry is to innovate and implement, almost instantly. Together with the OutSystems, KPMG will be able to help and strategise an enterprise’s digital journey to address their need at any level of application complexity, across the spectrum, quickly and efficiently.”

KPMG and OutSystems are not new to one another. The companies already work together at a global level and in multiple other countries. According to the consulting firm, use cases have demonstrated the value of OutSystems’ low-code solution.

“The OutSystems low-code development platforms provides a well-established way to lower maintenance costs, lower dependence on third parties for development and maintenance, and increase the speed of delivering functionality to business. The platform enables enterprises to build quickly and innovate faster, while deploying customer facing apps, internal business processes and core platforms,” explained Pillai.

Sajith Simon, Partner and Head of Strategic Alliances & Relations at KPMG, added: “Together with OutSystems, we look forward to helping our clients and customers transform faster and at scale, in their journey towards becoming a truly digital enterprise.”

To kickstart and build out its work in the OutSystems domain, KPMG has established a Centre of Excellence in India focussed on building expertise and training staff.

Commenting on the collaboration, Subrato Bandhu, Regional Vice President at OutSystems, said: “This partnership will also enable us to provide end-to-end solutions that are tailored to each client's specific needs, ensuring their success in an ever-changing landscape. We are very excited to partner with KPMG, and work together to help businesses drive growth, enhance their agility, and achieve their digital transformation goals faster.”
