US-headquartered accounting and consulting firm Armanino is expanding its presence in the Indian market with the launch of new offices in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

Founded in 1969, Armanino is the 19th largest accounting and consulting firm in the US firm by annual revenues. In March this year, the firm appointed Shrenik Shah as Managing Director for India, tasking him with setting up the local venture and growing it to a leading business in the country’s landscape.

“Armanino’s India office is designed to be an extension of our US footprint delivering the same level of quality, client-focused service we’re known for today,” said Armanino CEO Matt Armanino back then. “We will seek to hire over 100 full-time employees in our first year to service clients across a range of industries with capabilities in accounting, tax, audit support, consulting, advisory, and digital transformation.”

Fast forward to today, and Armanino has announced two major milestones: the successful opening of its Ahmedabad office, and the hire of its 100th employee. The Ahmedabad office delivers round-the-clock service across multiple sectors to clients in the US and India, in topics including tax, audit, consulting, and technology.

“Armanino’s Indian team has rapidly become a critical part of our growth strategy, allowing us to support our clients with even greater scale and efficiency around the clock,” said Armanino.

Commenting on the success to date, Shah reflected: “The office, career opportunities and culture established in India reflect the success of growth and brand recognition of Armanino as a whole and have been a magnet for talent.”

Meanwhile, Armanino is also planning to open a new office in Hyderabad, Telangana, further boosting its presence in the nation. Shah: “Continuing our expansion into Hyderabad will allow us to continue to grow our teams to support Armanino’s global client base.”

In addition to its expansion plans, Armanino has in recent weeks made a number of senior appointments within the business, including Anagha Vartak (Tax), Rounak Somani (Trust), and Ananth Mahadevan (Consulting).
