Deloitte expands India footprint to 16 cities with new office in Indore
Global accounting and consulting firm Deloitte has launched its presence in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, expanding its footprint to 16 cities across India.
The new office is part of Deloitte’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the country, with the aim of expanding to 18–20 cities by the end of next year. The firm’s long-term goal is even more ambitious – having crossed INR 10,000 crore in revenue in fiscal year 2024, Deloitte has set a target to reach around INR 40,000 crore by 2030.
Deloitte currently employs over 120,000 people in India – nearly 25% of its global workforce – and aims to add a further 40,000 to 50,000 professionals over the next four to five years.
A key pillar in achieving these growth objectives is expanding into tier-2 and tier-3 cities, which are becoming magnets for both business and talent.
“At Deloitte, we are committed to work with businesses from emerging Indian cities to achieve their full potential,” said Nitin Kini, Chief Operating Officer for South Asia at Deloitte. “Building on our recent expansion in Coimbatore, Bhubaneswar, and Lucknow, we are now extending our presence to Indore, marking our footprint in 16 cities across the country.”
“This growth is part of our broader endeavour, Project Bharat, aimed at strengthening our presence across the emerging economic hubs.”
The new Indore office will provide Deloitte’s full suite of capabilities across strategy, mergers & acquisitions, tax, risk advisory, assurance, and transformation services. The local team will work closely with family-run businesses, mid-sized and small businesses, investors, and public institutions. Key sectors targeted include IT, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, textiles, and food processing.
“Indore’s blend of legacy industries and emerging sectors underscores the state’s evolution into a high-growth, future-ready economy. For Deloitte, Indore will serve as a hub for delivering customised solutions to clients across the region. Our focus will be to unlock value for businesses by helping them navigate complexities, scale operations, and seize emerging opportunities,” said Amit Jain, Deloitte’s lead Partner for the Indore office.
