Truesight Consulting launches India operations under Nitesh Sahay
US-based advanced marketing and analytics consultancy Truesight Consulting has made a move to tap into the Indian market with the establishment of a presence in New Delhi. The new office, to be led by Nitesh Sahay, will also act as a regional hub for Asia.
Truesight consulting is an international consulting firm specialising in advanced analytics with an emphasis on innovation. The firm was established in New York in 2017 by David Dixon and Sebastian Shapiro, who cumulatively have more than 50 years of experience in the consulting industry.
Both executives formerly worked in senior roles at Ninah Consulting, before deciding to branch out on their own. Since its founding, Truesight has amassed business from clients in North America, Europe, and Asia, catering to a range of industries, including consumer goods, B2B enterprise software, telecom, retail, media and entertainment, and financial services.
Truesight differentiates itself in the market by forming strategic relationships with highly celebrated think-tanks and academic institutions across the world. So far, the firm has strategic partnerships with the faculty at Stanford University, Bentley University, and VU University in Amsterdam, with plans to form more in the near future.
Now, the firm has decided to establish its presence in India, as well as in the broader region of Asia, with the opening of an office in New Delhi, which is predicted to be the driver of growth for the region over the next few years. The new office will house three senior consultants with expertise in marketing analytics, and their corresponding support staff.
In addition to these executives, the firm will be led by Nitesh Sahay, who previously worked with Dixon and Shapiro during their time at Ninah Consulting. Sahay has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of market analytics, having leveraged his background in advanced programming to develop customised solutions for industries spanning the FMCG, ecommerce, automotive, telecom, and banking sectors.
Having completed an MPhil in Economics from the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University in India, Sahay has worked intermittently as a consultant, a business analyst, a senior economist and a regional director among a range of other positions at companies such as GE Capita, Datamonitor, and most recently Ninah Consulting.
Commenting on his new role in the firm, Sahay said, “Truesight's transparency-based approach to marketing analytics and client engagements is both radical and perfectly timed. Marketers, rightfully, are demanding full accountability from their marketing partners – no more black boxes. This is particularly evident in India and throughout Asia," he said. "Additionally, Truesight's multi-tiered solutions approach aptly fits the requirements of markets across the globe, each at different levels of data and analytics maturity. I'm privileged to have this opportunity to help Truesight and its clients crack the market in this part of the world and globally. Our opportunity is enormous, and our global team is top tier.”
On the appointment of Sahay, David Dixon said, “We are delighted that Nitesh Sahay will lead our efforts in India and throughout Asia. He was an essential member of our management team at another firm and delivered tremendous growth in client relationships, new business, new capabilities and developing first-tier talent. He brings a level of experience, rigour and expertise that is virtually unmatched in the industry.”
Co-Founder Sebastian Shapiro shed light on the firm’s take on the new presence in India, stating; “India and greater Asia are vital to our firm and represent huge opportunities. India is poised to become the 5th largest economy in the world in 2018 and was one of the top six fastest growing economies during 2017. But that's only part of the story. We know first-hand that India is a remarkable hub for marketing talent, R&D, innovation and is also an ideal anchor location for Asia. Few people know the region's marketing landscape better than Mr. Sahay, and we've already had overwhelming response and support for launching Truesight in India and Asia directly from companies in those markets.”
