Indian ServiceNow and Appian partner Waivgen acquired by Synechron
Chennai-based Waivgen has been acquired by Synechron, a global financial services consulting and technology group.
Established in 2024 by an experienced team of IT consulting leaders, Waivgen is an IT consultancy firm specialising in intelligent automation, process automation, data engineering and artificial intelligence. The company is a partner of ServiceNow (used for automating back-office processes) and Appian (low-code development).
Waivgen has now become part of Synechron, a US-headquartered consulting group with a strong presence in India (six offices). “Adding Waivgen to our group is another milestone in our growth journey,” said Faisal Husain, CEO of Synechron. “The power of ServiceNow is incredible, and we are excited to help our customers unlock that value through the industry knowledge and engineering prowess of this new team.”
The deal was announced alongside two other acquisitions in the ServiceNow domain – Calitii in the UK and RapDev in the US. The three firms have been integrated into a single global ServiceNow practice, which Synechron describes as the “largest ServiceNow practice dedicated to the financial services industry.”
Notably, Waivgen brings additional capabilities to Synechron, including a large library of AI agents that enable banks, insurers and other financial institutions to harness the power of AI, as well as deep expertise in Appian implementations.
“Waivgen combines platform know-how with extensive investment in agentic AI,” said Arjun Devadas, CEO of Waivgen. “As part of our journey with Synechron, we can now bring our AI agents to a global audience.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Waivgen was represented by Tura Advisory during the transaction.
