US-based software solutions firm Epicor Software has announced a strategic partnership with Agelix Consulting India, wherein the latter will help with the resale of Epicor products and services in addition to offering consulting support. The primary product for resale is the Epicor ERP.

The enterprise resource planning (ERP) system designed by Epicor caters specifically to the manufacturing sector, which is increasingly expanding in India as the country looks to improve its internal manufacturing profile. Epicor’s objective of marketing this product in India makes Agelix the ideal candidate for a partnership.

Based out of the US, Agelix is a consulting firm with an expansive scope of operations, including management consulting, engineering consulting, software development, maintenance & operations and – most pertinently – the implementation and management of ERP systems.

Agelix’s firm’s geographical scope of operations extends across the globe, with a substantial presence in India. The firm also has significant experience in the domain of ERP implementation, particularly for enterprises in the manufacturing, supply chain, service and distribution domain. The ERP market in India is on a substantial growth trajectory, as a number of major players ramp up their collaborative efforts to capitalise on the rapidly digitalising economy.

So far, the firm has an extensive portfolio of clients, mostly from its operations in the US. These include Webco Manufacturing, Lanco Holding Group and Tisco Manufacturing, among a number others.

As part of the partnership, Agilex India will offer business development in the ERP domain for Epicor, in addition to offering consulting services and support with the assessment of system requirements, as well as project management and implementation. Epicor, meanwhile, will help Agelix with sales as well as marketing and training in the professional services domain.

Commenting on the partnership, Hesham El Komy, Managing Director for Epicor in the MEAI sector said, “This new partnership will enable Epicor to meet an increasing demand for ERP solutions among midmarket manufacturers in the region. Technology in the manufacturing sector is evolving at a tremendous speed, helped by the Government of India pushing for more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) which generates transfer of new technology in manufacturing for domestic production.

“We believe the combination of Agelix’s knowledge and expert services combined with Epicor solutions will be a great fit for Indian manufacturers that want to digitalize and modernize their businesses,” he added, while the CEO at Agelic India, Abinash Parida said, “The innovative and modern technology platform that Epicor ERP provides is well-suited to helping local manufacturers prepare for the future and grow their businesses.”
