Arjun Sethi appointed Head of Asia Pacific at Kearney
Arjun Sethi has been appointed as Head of Asia Pacific (APAC) for global management consultancy Kearney. In his new role, Sethi will manage the firm’s operations across India, Greater China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Southeast Asia.
Sethi replaces incumbent APAC chief Saurine Doshi, who was at the helm for the last six years and will now take up a new leadership position in Kearney’s global services and innovation practice.
In a press release, Kearney thanked Doshi for his contribution to growing the its Asia Pacific footprint, and added that the firm is well positioned to continue this growth under Sethi.
“Our Asia Pacific practice has been vibrant in recent years – and the source of some our most significant and innovative transformation assignments as a firm,” said Alex Liu, Global Managing Partner of Kearney.
Sethi’s wealth of experience will help him drive this success forward. A graduate of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, he first joined Kearney – then A.T. Kearney – in 2000, taking up the position of Consultant in the New Delhi office.
Shortly afterwards he moved to the firm’s New York practice, where he has been for nearly two decades now. During his time in the US, Sethi rapidly ascended through the ranks, eventually becoming Partner and being named the firm’s Lead for Digital Transformation in the Americas and across the globe.
As of the January 1st this year, he has transitioned into his new role of Head of the APAC region. His experience in the global digital landscape is likely to benefit his contributions in the APAC region, as businesses begin to embrace the power of Industry 4.0 technologies.
India’s market will be high on Sethi’s radar, given the increasingly central role the country is playing in the APAC economy. The country is rapidly becoming a digital hub, with a growing body of tech startups and businesses that are investing in technology.
Sethi indicated that he looks forward to working in the APAC market. “I am excited to take on this role leading our business in such a diverse and dynamic region. Asia is the engine room for the global economy and this new decade will present even more change and opportunities for growth for our clients in the region and worldwide.”
