Suresh Raina joins Heidrick & Struggles as a partner in Mumbai
Global executive search and human capital specialist Heidrick & Struggles has welcomed a new partner to its team in India: Suresh Raina.
Based in the firm's Mumbai office, Raina brings over three decades of professional services and cross-functional management experience in various Indian and multinational companies in South Asia, Middle East, Africa, and North America to the firm. He joins from rival Hunt Partners, where he spent over a decade as a partner.
During this period, Raina gained extensive experience in executive search, leadership development and board advisory, with a focus on clients in the industrial and infrastructure space. “Suresh brings a wealth of experience advising clients on how to leverage their talent strategy to meet their organizational objectives,” said Stephen McAlinden, Regional Leader of Asia Pacific and the Middle East at Heidrick & Struggles.
Before that, Raina worked for several corporates. In his last role, he was a managing director for North America and Caribbean at cash processing solutions provider De La Rue (a FTSE 100 company). Earlier he started and established operations De La Rue’s operations in South Asia, the Middle East & Africa.
Previous experience includes working with global corporations including HCL, Invensys, Bristol Myers Squibb and Prudential Financial. He also has been an entrepreneur having led start-ups in the manufacturing and technology sectors.
At Heidrick & Struggles, the new partner will specialise in recruiting CEOs and CXOs for a wide array of organisations across the manufacturing, transportation, logistics, infrastructure and energy sectors. He will also advise clients on leadership talent matters and strategic workforce planning.
