Deloitte beefs up Salesforce team in India with carve-out acquisition
Deloitte has significantly beefed up its Salesforce team in India with the acquisition of a Salesforce team from Compro Technologies.
With more than 9,000 professionals specialised in Salesforce and over a dozen partner awards under its belt, Deloitte is one of the world’s leading Salesforce consulting and implementations firms. Following the carve-out acquisition of the team from New Delhi-based Compro Technologies, Deloitte India now has over 300 professionals in the country dedicated to the technology platform.
Founded in 1999 in the US, Salesforce is the globe’s largest provider of software for customer relationship management and marketing automation. Companies from across all corners of the globe use Salesforce to streamline their client management, ramp up the effectiveness of their business development, optimise customer journeys and keep a close eye on commercials.
Deloitte helps organisations using Salesforce with their end-to-end programs, from vendor selection advisory and design of business / solution processes, through to technical build, roll-out and post go-live support – all supported by an integrated project and change management delivery capacity.
“Our industry knowledge, design expertise, and technology capability help us shape the ambitions of our clients and make them come alive using the power of the Salesforce platform,” explained Kaushik Dasgupta, a partner at Deloitte.
“We have repeatedly been positioned among the preferred Salesforce partners and received accolades as a testament to our ability to provide distinct services to our clients.” Most notably, Deloitte was this year named the ‘Enterprise Implementation Partner of the Year’ for India, and ‘Implementation Partner of the Year’ for the entire Asia Pacific region.
According to Romal Shetty, President of Deloitte Consulting, the addition of the Compro Technologies team cements the firm’s position as the “strongest Salesforce practice in the Indian market.”
Looking ahead, Shetty and Dasgupta said that they see no signs of slowing in demand for Salesforce services, amid an environment that has seen digitisation thrusted to the top of corporate agenda’s. “We see a lot of opportunities for Salesforce implementation across financial services, consumer and retail, manufacturing, and public sectors.”
Earlier this year, Deloitte closed a major acquisition in India with the purchase of HashedIn – a roughly 750-strong digital services firm specialised in Software-as-a-Service propositions.
