Protiviti adds Noida-based Loumus to digital consulting practice
Protiviti has strengthened its presence in India with the acqui-hire of Loumus Data Systems, a Noida-based digital transformation firm.
Established in 2018, Loumus Data Systems supports clients with a range of technology services, including digital transformation consulting, cyber security, data analytics, and app modernisation using cloud.
The deal sees a 40-strong team join Protiviti, a US-headquartered consulting firm with seven offices in India, and adds an eighth office – in Noida – to its domestic footprint.
“The addition of Loumus’s talent and business is part of our strategy to boost our end-to-end digital offerings,” explained Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO of Protiviti in India. “The addition bolsters both the breadth and depth of our digital transformation capabilities.”
The move comes at a time of booming demand for technology consultancy services, with a recent report from ALM finding that technology is the fastest growing service line within the varied consulting landscape.

The addition of Loumus expands our delivery capacity and knowledge base as we bring leading thinking and capabilities to our clients,” said Sandeep Gupta, Managing Director and leader of Protiviti’s Technology Consulting practice.
Meanwhile, for Loumus, the joining of forces will enable its team to work on “great projects” and “enhance its capabilities to the benefit of our clients”, said Deepak Chawla, who founded Loumus Data Systems and now is a Managing Director at Protiviti.
Technology is one of the several services offered by Protiviti. The global consultancy is particularly known for its expertise in finance, risk & compliance, governance, and internal audit, and also advises clients on performance improvement within their operations.
In India, Protiviti is a so-called ‘member firm’, meaning that the firm is a separate and independent legal entity not fully financially integrated within the global Protiviti network.
According to Consultancy.org’s database of deals in the consulting scene, the Indian acqui-hire is Protiviti’s first inorganic move since the bolt-on of Identropy in the US.
