Nitin Razdan regional lead of Deloitte’s Human Capital advisory arm

Deloitte Consulting has appointed a new leader of its Human Capital practice in South Asia: Nitin Razdan.

The change of leadership sees Nitin Razdan take over the reins from fellow India-based partner, Gaurav Lahiri, who led the practice for the past six years.

During this period, the Human Capital practice has grown strongly to a team of around 40 partners/directors and over 600 consultants, making it one of the larger advisory practice in India and South Asia dedicated to human capital and talent-related advisory services.

“We started as a fledgling practice and have grown to a very strong force in the market. I feel nothing but gratitude towards all our clients and colleagues who trusted us and came along the journey. It has been an amazing ride,” said Lahiri in a post on LinkedIn announcing the transition.

“Nitin and I have worked together for nearly two decades and I’ve seen him grow to one of the most outstanding consultants and leaders I’ve ever worked with. He’s going to continue to grow our offering to even more dominant positions in the segments of organisation, talent, human resources, and HR technology.”

Lahiri and Razdan both joined Deloitte Consulting in 2016 from Hay Group – the pair were part of a 5-strong senior team that crossed to the Big Four shortly after Hay Group was snapped up by Korn Ferry in a global deal worth $452 million.

At Hay Group, Lahiri was a Regional Director for Fast Growing Markets (including India), while Razdan led the Indian business.

A specialist in HR transformation, Razdan works with clients in the areas of HR technology strategy, organisation design and effectiveness, performance management, and workforce planning. He works with organisations across sectors, with a focus on the fast moving consumer goods, telecom, media, automotive, and energy sectors.

A much sought after expert across TV and print media, Razdan is described by Deloitte Consulting as a partner known for his capacity of “creating teams that can win in the marketplace” and “nurturing a positive work environment”.

Commenting on his promotion, Razdan said: “I am incredibly grateful to take on the role of Human Capital Consulting Leader for South Asia. I’m excited to build on the foundation Gaurav has laid.”

Alongside India, South Asia spans Deloitte Consulting’s portfolio across ten other countries: Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
