Xynteo appoints Suman Jagdev as partner in Mumbai office
International sustainability consultancy Xynteo has strengthened its partner team in India with the hire of Suman Jagdev.
Appointed a partner in its Mumbai office, Suman Jagdev brings more than 20 years of management consulting experience to the firm.
He joins Xynteo from Praxis Global Alliance, where he led the strategy and transformation offering for corporates in the industrial goods sector as well as due diligence and portfolio value creation engagements with financial investors.
Earlier in his career, Jagdev held various senior roles at investment bank Houlihan Lokey and Strategy&, formerly Booz & Company and now the strategy consulting business of PwC.
In his new role, Jagdev will lead Xynteo’s Industrial Goods and Natural Resources industry verticals with a focus on sectoral decarbonisation, energy transition and circularity. In addition, he will lead the firm’s Build Ahead coalition, a private sector led coalition aimed at decarbonisation of the built environment through market transformation and ecosystem wide collaboration to enable demand for low carbon building materials.
“We welcome Suman to our team and look forward to him making a transformative mark with our clients,” said Xynteo senior partner Vipul Kumar.
Xynteo operates with two offices in India (Mumbai and New Delhi) and two in Europe, in Oslo (headquarters) and London (United Kingdom). Large clients include the likes of Cyient, Shell, Unilever, and Visa.
“We specialise in working with businesses and coalitions across sectors and geographies to design, co-create and implement collaborative initiatives that deliver commercial outcomes, while creating positive social and environmental impact,” explained Kumar.
Jagdev commented: “Xynteo has already had tremendous success is helping clients in India chart a path for shareholder value creation with a focus on delivering positive outcomes on people, planet, and commercial performance indicators. By helping historically hard-to-abate sectors contribute towards building a sustainable world Xynteo’s mission to reinvent growth has a bright future. I am excited to be part of Xynteo’s impact in India.”
In March this year, Xynteo landed a growth-focused investment from UK-based investor Leon Capital.
