Avartan Bokil joins Oliver Wyman’s partnership in Mumbai

Avartan Bokil is back in consulting, having joined global management consulting firm Oliver Wyman in its Mumbai office.

It was back in 2005 when Avartan Bokil kickstarted his career in strategy consulting, joining the ranks of Boston Consulting Group. During his nine years at the firm, he grew the ranks to principal level.

Notable projects he worked on include: a digital innovation transformation at a financial services institution, leading multiple post-merger integrations across telecom and financial services, and several projects in the areas of growth, strategy, new channel development, customer experience, and process transformation.

Bokil then spent a decade in industry. As the head of strategy at RPG Enterprises (one of India’s oldest diversified conglomerates), he helped craft a new vision and identified new opportunities for diversification across the group. He was instrumental in setting up a corporate venture capital fund and a specialty e-commerce business incubated internally.

At the Indian subsidiary of Disney Star, Bokil held multiple roles and was part of several market-disrupting initiatives, ranging from the largest media property in the country to building one of the world’s first at-scale cross-screen (broadcast television and OTT) ad-planning and measurement platforms.

Leveraging his experience, Bokil now focuses on strategic consulting engagements with Oliver Wyman at the intersection of technology and business model innovation, serving a variety of clients. He is a member of the Digital practice.
