The business transformation team from the Mumbai and Delhi member firms of global professional services provider EY have been presented the award for driving exceptional client service in the 2017 edition of the ‘better begins with you’ awards. The award is in recognition of their work with a leading home-appliance company in India.

In order to encourage and promote a high standard of service within its internal operations, Big Four accounting and advisory firm EY holds the “better begins with you” awards program annually.  Winners of the award are selected by their peers, based on their ability to find inspirational and effective ways of providing solutions and upholding the company’s ethos: “building a better world.”

The awards are divided into four categories, which include; driving exceptional client service; creating exceptional EY experiences; strengthening communities, and; pursuing innovation. Winners of the award are endowed with a sum ranging from $250,000 to $1 million, which they may use to fund a project in the field for which they have received the award.

This year, the award ceremony took place in Amsterdam, where over 50 finalists and leaders gathered for a day of festivities. Within the categories, the award for driving exceptional client service for 2017 went to the business and transformation teams of the Delhi and Mumbai EY member-firms.

Specifically, the teams assisted the 70-year-old home appliance brand Usha with a modernisation effort, with the objective of improving both efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Operationally, the transformation program focused on the distribution systems for delivery to retailers as well as customers.Indian team wins EY's 'better begins with you' awardThe Indian member firm of EY has been particularly active with major projects in recent times, having recently won the contract to assist with the big-money divestment of Air-India.
