Mercer: Pradeep Mukherjee new CEO Mercer India
Mercer has appointed Pradeep Mukherjee as the new Managing Partner of its Indian office. Mukherjee, who will formally take over from September 2, joins Mercer from Confluence Coaching and Consulting, his own consulting firm which he established in 2007.
Mukerjee's focus as an entrepreneur was on executive coaching, leadership & HR strategy formulation and business goal setting for his clients. In his last role at Citigroup, from 1999 - 2007, he was responsible for the HR function across 10 legal vehicles employing 19,000 people. Before that, he was based in New York from 1997 to 1999 where he was part of the bank's global HR team. His main focus was on leadership talent review and the identification, assessment and development of leaders.
In 1994, Mukerjee was appointed vice-president and country HR head of Citibank for UAE & Gulf. Before his tenure at Citibank, Mukerjee was in a leadership role at Citicorp Overseas Software from 1988 to 1994. He has also had stints at National Radio & Electronics, Asian Paints and Tata Consultancy Services.
