FTI strengthens Technology vertical in India through launch of Relativity services
Consistent with trends across the consulting industry, global business advisory firm FTI Consulting is strengthening its Technology vertical in India through the launch of Relativity services in India. The firm has been a certified Relativity Partner since 2017, and offers its data organisation services across the globe.
FTI Consulting has a substantial practice in India, operating from offices in the key financial centres of New Delhi and Mumbai. The firm is active and growing in the country with its primary verticals, namely Economic Consulting, Forensic & Litigation Consulting and Strategic Communication.
Most of the major global consulting firms – including the Big Four – have been growing increasingly competitive in the Indian market, and have substantially ramped up their investment profiles in the country, particularly in the domain of technology as the wave of digitalisation spreads across the country.
In December last year, FTI Consulting ramped up its own technology vertical in the country through the appointment of Amit Jaju as the new Managing Director for the vertical. Now, Jaju will oversee the entry of the specific e-discovery services that are offered under FTI’s strategic partnership with Relativity.
Relativity is a software firm that is centred on simplifying data organisation practices. The e-discovery application offered by Relativity provides an overview of substantial volumes of data, and facilitates honing in on specific discrepancies during processes of litigation, investigation and compliance.
“The demand for e-discovery and digital forensics expertise is growing rapidly in India. Over the last year, FTI Technology has been investing to meet this demand and fulfill client needs across Asia. Bringing our expertise and partnership with the Relativity platform to this specific region will give our local experts additional resources to further streamline complex e-discovery matters for our clients and ensure they are both cost-effective and aligned with cross-border data protection requirements,” said Jaju.
“Our team continues to demonstrate unmatched commitment to client service and helping multi-national organisations overcome every e-discovery challenge they face. From legal holds to global, cross-border reviews, FTI Technology brings the full scope of people, process and technology required for every step of an investigation or e-discovery matter. Regardless of a client’s technology needs or limitations, our experts can develop workflows and execute programmes that ensure efficient and successful outcomes,” he added.
The new base in India is expected to act as a base for FTI to distribute Relativity offerings across the broader Asia Pacific region. The firm is also bolstering this new offering with the simultaneous launch of its FTI Investigate vertical in India, which leverages e-discovery capabilities to help with digital investigations.
