Alvarez & Marsal appoints former Accenture AI lead Aditya Priyadarshan as Managing Director
Alvarez & Marsal has appointed Aditya Priyadarshan as a Managing Director in its Business Transformation Services practice in India. Based in Mumbai, he joins from Accenture, where he spent 18 years and most recently led the firm’s AI practice in India.
At Alvarez & Marsal, Priyadarshan will focus on large-scale operating model and organisation structure programmes across the automotive, industrial and retail sectors. It is work that speaks to a broader change in how Indian companies approach transformation, where the pay-off from new technology increasingly depends on the operating model around it, not the tools alone.
Priyadarshan brings more than two decades of consulting experience, advising large organisations on operating and organisational design, front-end transformation and zero-based transformation. His work has centred on aligning enterprise structures with growth priorities and streamlining governance. At Accenture, he previously led the firm’s Retail practice, growing its consulting and digital business, and its Talent and Organization practice.
The appointment strengthens Alvarez & Marsal’s senior leadership in India. “Indian businesses are increasingly looking to translate investments in AI and digital capabilities into tangible improvements in growth, productivity and organizational effectiveness,” said Himanshu Bajaj, Managing Director and Head of the firm’s India and GCC business. “This requires bringing strategy, operating model and execution together rather than addressing them in isolation.”
“Organizations today have a significant opportunity to use AI and digital technologies to rethink how they operate, organize and grow,” said Priyadarshan. “Realizing that opportunity requires clarity on the operating model and disciplined execution across the enterprise. A&M’s hands-on, results-oriented approach provides a strong platform to help clients turn transformation priorities into measurable outcomes.”
