KPMG Global Services promotes Rupesh Tripathi to partner
Within two years of joining the firm, Rupesh Tripathi has been promoted to partner at KPMG.
Rupesh Tripathi joined the Big Four accounting and consulting firm in the summer of 2019 to become Head of People of KPMG Global Services, a 10,000-strong division in India. Having successfully led the function’s people and talent management through a period of growth and unprecedented change amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Tripathi has now been admitted into the firm’s partnership.
Established in 2008 as a joint venture between KPMG US, KPMG UK and KPMG India, Global Services is an India-based delivery organisation that supports international member firms with expert services. From offices in Gurugram, Bengaluru, Pune and Kochi, the talent pool supports KPMG teams with domain knowledge (including consulting and deals) across a range of industries and solutions.
Prior to joining KPMG, Tripathi was Head of HR for India at IHS Markit, in charge of leading HR strategy and implementation and service delivery for more than three years. Previously, he worked at Accenture for over five years, where he latterly led the HR function for the firm’s India business and its Capability Network (a distributed consulting model). Earlier, he worked for Citibank, Bharti Retail and Mercer, where he found his calling in the people space.
Over the course of his career, he has gained extensive experience with HR strategy, talent management, recruitment, leadership development, compensation & benefits, executive coaching and HR technology.
Tripathi is based out of KPMG’s Gurgaon office – one of the firm’s 14 hubs across the country.
