Bain & Company names Parijat Ghosh new India managing partner
Global strategy and management consulting firm Bain & Company has named Parijat Ghosh as its new managing partner for India.
Effective April 1, Parijat Ghosh will lead Bain & Company’s team of consultants and staff – including 60+ partners – operating from its three offices in the country, in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and New Delhi.
Ghosh, who joined Bain & Company in 2012 from Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), has been tasked with continuing the firm’s strong growth in India, with the local organisation billed as the firm’s “largest and fastest growing” in the entire Asia Pacific region.
Since its launch in India in 2006, Bain & Company has firmly nestled itself as a leading strategic-focused consultancy in the country’s consulting scene. The firm has in the process also bagged numerous top employer plaudits.
Current managing partner Karan Singh played an instrumental role in the more recent growth journey. During his 8-year leadership, the consulting firm grew by a compound annual growth rate of over 20%, and scaled its partner team by 4x.
As Singh now transitions to the role of Chairman, Ghosh said he is “excited to take on this role and honoured by the trust” placed in his capacities. “I look forward to working with the team to build on our success and continue to set new standards of excellence for our clients.”
Ghosh has over 20 years of experience in strategy and management consulting throughout India, the United States, and Europe. He specialises in growth strategy, sales and marketing, innovation, organisation design, executive development, and strategy implementation. He is a member of the firm’s Healthcare and Industrial Goods & Services practices.
The fresh India managing partner earned an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and holds a graduate degree in Manufacturing Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute Technology, Kharagpur.
