Indigo Consulting appoints Prasanna Kulkarni as new head of its creative division

Indian digital marketing and consulting firm Indigo Consulting has announced the appointment of Prasanna Kularni as the new Head of its Creative division. In his new position, Kulkarni will work out of Indigo Consulting’s Mumbai office, and will report directly to the CEO at the firm Rajesh Ghatge.

Prasanna Kulkarni’s professional experience in the domain of digital marketing extends across more than two decades. He has a background in engineering, having graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, following which he entered the field of communications through a Masters in Communication Design.

Professionally, Kulkarni has worked at a number of illustrious firms, including the likes of J Walter Thomson, OgilvyOne Worldwide, Rediff.com Ogilvy Interactive as well as Tata Interactive Systems. His experience has also placed him in contact with key clients from leading firms in Indian industry.

Over the course of his career, he has worked with telecom companies such as Vodafone as well as firms in a variety of other sectors such as Samsung, Tata Motors, Asian Paints, Pidilite, ICICI Bank, Jet Airway, Godrej, and Adidas. Up until 2015, Kulkarni was the Chief Creative Officer at Zenith Optimedia.

Most recently, he has held the position of the Creative Head of Digital services at advertising and marketing agency Cheil India. He will now join digital marketing consultancy Indigo Consulting as the Head of Creative, where he is expected to enhance the firm’s work with its domestic and international partners. He will report to CEO Rajesh Ghatge in Mumbai. 

Professionals like Kulkarni with extensive experience in creative digital media are currently in high demand across India and will continue to be so, particularly as the digital advertising industry in the country is set to balloon over the next few years. The growth comes on the back of a rapid digitalisation of India’s consumer base.

Commenting on Kulkarni’s appointment, Ghatge said, “Prasanna’s mandate is to lead this community from the front across our communication and digital platform design, and build offerings.
