Indigo Consulting makes three senior promotions across India
Indigo Consulting has shored up its senior leadership team across India with three high-profile promotions, one each in the firm’s West, South and North Eastern bases. Saurabh Mankhand, Sumitra Sarkar and Prashant Tekwani have been appointed Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs) at the firm.
All three executives have been at the firm for more than two years. Mankhand will now take over the western operations from his seat in Mumbai, while Sarkar will run the southern operations from Bangalore and Tekwani will control the northern and eastern practice from the office in Gurgaon.
Sarkar has been at Indigo since 2017, and was a Vice President for Strategy & Client Services up until now, managing a 40-member team that worked to develop brand growth and strategic communications. She has vast experience in the digital marketing and advisory space, having held senior positions at Contract India, Dentsu Aegis Network and the Publicis Groupe.
Mankhand joined the firm in 2016, also as a Vice President for Strategy & Client Services. He also holds considerable expertise in the marketing space, having previously worked at OgilvyOne Worldwide for just short of nine years, working his way up the ranks from Account Director to Vice President.
Tekwani has been Vice President for Client Services since 2017 at Indigo’s Gurgaon office. He was previously Senior Vice President at the Monk Media Network, and has also worked for a two-year spell at Contract India. He has more than a decade of experience in the marketing space.
The new SVPs are expected to drive growth and quality for Indigo’s services across India, as the firm looks to strengthen its ranks and match its growing business portfolio in the country. Indigo’s Mumbai office, for instance, is currently engaged in projects with global consumer brand Garnier as well as with Indian food retail giant Reliance Fresh.
The Gurgaon office, meanwhile, is currently managing a contract with global consumer finance company Home Credit’s India practice. In serving this suite of clients, the firm has been engaged in developing its capabilities and solutions. According to CEO at the firm Rajesh Ghatge, the three new SVPs have been an integral part of this process.
“Saurabh, Sumitra and Prashant have traversed this journey and contributed immensely towards the growth of customers at Indigo Consulting while growing their independent units. They have done this while maintaining an amazing streak at winning new mandates from large enterprise brands as well some global Fortune 100 brands,” said Rajesh Ghatge, CEO at Indigo Consulting.
He added, “Empowering them to take on a larger mandate was inevitable. I am looking forward to them creating more value for our customers and further fuelling our fantastic momentum while pushing the bar of our product.”
